{"id":924,"date":"2015-01-21T01:18:41","date_gmt":"2015-01-21T06:18:41","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.jenniferpickens.com\/blog\/?p=924"},"modified":"2021-02-02T12:25:06","modified_gmt":"2021-02-02T17:25:06","slug":"mrs-obamas-state-of-the-union-fashion","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.jenniferpickens.com\/blog\/mrs-obamas-state-of-the-union-fashion\/","title":{"rendered":"Mrs. Obama&#8217;s State of the Union Fashion"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>President Obama delivered his State of the Union address last night, so while the pundits pour over all the details of the speech, I though it was fun to review Mrs. Obama\u2019s designer dress selections from the past.\u00a0 Which one is your favorite?<\/p>\n<p>Last night, Mrs. Obama stepped out in a grey tweed Michael Kors skirt suit.\u00a0 The suit boasted a wide collar and zipper detailing.\u00a0 (She has worn this designer several times including for her official White House portrait.)<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-946\" src=\"http:\/\/www.jenniferpickens.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/01\/firstlady-2.png\" alt=\"First Lady Michelle Obama\" width=\"300\" height=\"400\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.jenniferpickens.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/01\/firstlady-2.png 300w, https:\/\/www.jenniferpickens.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/01\/firstlady-2-225x300.png 225w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>For the 2014 occasion, Mrs. Obama wore an emerald green dress with stripe detailing and a cropped jacket designed by Azzedine Alaia. A black belt at the waist accessorized the look.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-945\" src=\"http:\/\/www.jenniferpickens.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/01\/firstlady-3.jpg\" alt=\"First Lady Michelle Obama\" width=\"503\" height=\"335\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.jenniferpickens.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/01\/firstlady-3.jpg 503w, https:\/\/www.jenniferpickens.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/01\/firstlady-3-300x199.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 503px) 100vw, 503px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>In 2013 the First Lady chose a sparkly sleeveless dress by Jason Wu (the same designer she chose to create most of her Inaugural attire).
