White House Wednesdays

As you are looking for Christmas presents for kids there are some great ones that include White House History!

Of course my all time favorite is the White House Historical Association Ornament.  This year, the 2012 ornament honors President William Howard Taft who introduced the automobile to the White House in 1909, breaking the time-honored tradition of reliance on horse-drawn vehicles.  You can purchase it here along with some other great gifts for the kids.

They have a wonderful assortment of coloring books, some that even help with the alphabet, include the pets, historic rooms and more.  They also have great puzzles and even stuffed animal White House pets.

See Caroline Kennedy’s macaroni here as well as her stuffed animal replica. For older children they have everything from a lego white house to more advanced puzzles- and when in doubt there is always their wonderful collection of books!
